The sponsors for the next FTIC event n February 2011 have been formally confirmed, including Air Pacific as official carrier to the event from Los Angeles, Hong Kong, and Melbourne.  Player registration has now opened.

The FTIC 2010 event was covered in a one page editorial in the May 2010 edition of Tennis Life Magazine. The title is the second largest tennis magazine in the world, with 1.2 million readers monthly.

The FTIC ended in style at the Sheraton Resort, where US Ambassador McGann presented the grand prize. Supported by 4 Hollywood actors who visited schools, a village, orphanage, and  dinned with locals, the event gave light and brought some hope to the islands children.

The event is set to showcase talents from more than 6 countries, including the USA, China, Slovakia, India, New Zealand, The Philippines, and South Korea. With special guests from Hollywood, it has truly become a bastion of hope for Fiji’s next generation.

Player verification, tournament scheduling, partnership verification, formal sponsorship engagement  and an international PR & awareness campaign would commence.

The events are currently at an advanced stage of development, with player participation and media coverage being decided. Players, visitors and participants are expected from North America, Asia and the Australia/New Zealand region.

Created as an inclusive destination event to showcase the diversity, talents and beauty of the people that make up the Fiji Islands. A strong outreach component would ensure equity to the underprivileged in the community.
